I paint with the utmost attention,

but  no intention.

It is probably one of the best ways

to celebrate life.

With my paintings I am seeking

modest and fulfilling ways of being.

So, art is another path.

Never a destination.

What is the Beauty?

= WHO ARE YOU?

What is the Sublime?

= THAT-YOU

The daily, hours-long calligraphy exercises of my childhood taught me early on that even the simple act of drawing a line cannot be accomplished solely through my own will. The technique I learned for it has no inherent purpose. First, you must make it your own, with the bamboo brush, delicate paper, and the nuanced tones of ink – andbecome one with all their individual characteristics. It's not about your own will or control, let alone lead.

As an artist, I am at most a witness to this dynamic interplay between all aspects of painting. And it brings me the highest level of joy. I also appreciate thatemptinessjust as much, which presents itself at the beginning of the painting process. Without this emptiness, painting would be meaningless, even inconceivable, similar to fireworks without darkness.

Every line, every dot, and every surface on the canvas point back to emptiness as their origin and their true potential. They are meant to remind and celebrate this emptiness with themplayful unfoldings. My paintings are an invitation to this celebration that I extend to every viewer.
